Launch of Hep C Elimination Tool

On June 30th, the Coalition for Global Hepatitis Elimination released a new web-based, interactive tool to support budget-based planning for hepatitis C elimination. The tool allows countries to estimate the hepatitis C testing and treatment volumes needed for elimination and the associated costs, evaluates the costs and benefits of different screening policies and testing algorithms for elimination, and allows users to explore the impact of reduced prices for tests and treatment on program costs.

The tool is available free of charge and technical assistance is available to support partners in using the tool. The tool was developed in collaboration with Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Contact the Coalition at globalhep@taskforce.org to learn more
